Do you accept books from people? I have few books in good condition, I read them and I do not need them anymore. They are in Russian language.

In principal yes, if the library does not yet have the titles in the collection or the titles cover areas, which are not well covered yet. So it depends on the content of the books totally. Libraries do not necessary need extra copies.

I suggest you to take your books and go to the library you normally use and ask for the main librarian. She/he should know, if the titles are interesting from the point of view of the library system. It is, however, possible, that the main librarian cannot read or understand Russian and it might be a good idea to go straight to one of the biggest units like the one in Pasila. They have the largest collections of books in other languages than Finnish, Swedish and English.
